This book was given to me after a screening of the movie by the same name in New York. The movie was captivating -- quirky, engaging, and delightful. I'm not feeling it in the book the same way. I'm waiting for that moment when I see something on the page that would have sparked the filmmakers' imagination to transform the book into a film.
I recognize that the writer probably has lived through an amazing experience, and I imagine he'd be an interesting person to listen to during author appearances. But I'm struggling with turning these pages.
